Weimerskirch is a pocket of 18th-century houses tucked between Kirchberg, Eich and Dommeldange, along the Alzette north of the centre. Stay here if you value quiet, historic streets and don’t mind that everything requires a bus. It suits travellers on a longer stay, people visiting the northern suburbs, or anyone renting a car and wanting to avoid city-centre parking prices.
It does not suit first-time visitors. There is little to walk to, and the connection to the old town takes 20-25 minutes by bus.
Getting to town
Bus 22 links Weimerskirch to Hamilius in about 20 minutes. Kirchberg's edge is 15 minutes on foot uphill, which puts MUDAM and the Coque within reach. The main practical reason to book here is price — smaller guesthouses run 30-50 EUR less than equivalent rooms in Kirchberg, with free street parking often available.
