Where to stay in Neudorf: valley living east of Kirchberg

Who it suits

Neudorf runs along the valley floor from Clausen out toward the airport, hemmed in by the wooded slopes of Kirchberg above. Stay here if you like a village-in-the-city feel — a single main street with bakeries, small restaurants and a couple of good Portuguese places. It suits travellers who are combining a Kirchberg meeting with a leisure stay, and anyone who wants an affordable base with a quick bus link.

It does not suit anyone in a hurry. Neudorf is 20-25 minutes from Ville Haute by bus and involves either a climb up to Kirchberg or a valley walk to Clausen.

What is nearby

The Fort Thüngen and MUDAM are a steep climb up from Neudorf, or one bus stop away by 16. Clausen's Rives de Clausen bars are a 20-minute walk downstream. The airport is 8 minutes by bus. Restaurants along Rue de Neudorf are among the best-value in the city; expect a full lunch under 20 EUR.

Frequently asked questions
