Where to stay in Cents

The setup

Cents is a hillside residential quarter on the eastern edge of the city, past Neudorf and above the Alzette valley. It is almost entirely detached and semi-detached housing, with a small local centre around Rue de Trevires. There are no hotels in Cents in any meaningful sense; the inventory is short-term rentals and a couple of guesthouses, typically $90-130.

The tram along Route de Treves connects Cents to Kirchberg in 5 minutes and Ville Haute in 20. Buses 15 and 29 handle the rest.

Who should even consider it

Cents suits people with a specific reason to be here: a family visit, a longer-term work assignment near Kirchberg, or a rental deal that undercuts everything else. It also suits travellers with a rental car who want free street parking, which is genuinely available.

It does not suit anyone visiting Luxembourg for its own sake. There is nothing to walk to, no restaurant scene, no evening life. If you have flexibility, book Kirchberg or Neudorf instead for similar prices and better access.

Frequently asked questions

Are there restaurants in Cents?

A handful, mostly casual: a pizzeria, a Portuguese place, a bakery-cafe. For any variety, take the tram or bus one or two stops toward Neudorf or Kirchberg.

Can I walk from Cents to Kirchberg?

About 25-30 minutes through residential streets. Doable but no reason to bother when the tram takes 5 minutes and is free.
