Where the money goes further
Take a day trip to the Moselle valley for wine tasting — Caves Bernard-Massard in Grevenmacher does tours + tasting for $18. Or head to Vianden for the castle ($12) and a train ride that costs nothing. A rental car isn’t necessary but if you get one for a day ($50), you can do Echternach, Beaufort castle and a hike in Mullerthal in one loop. Skip Le Royal and Sofitel unless someone else is paying.
